Great news as the new Ford Transit was announced as Continental van of the year award in-front of the leading people in the motor industry, at the The Marker Hotel, Grand Canal Square in Dublin.
The Transit was chosen by the IMWA van jury vote based their decision on a range of criteria including value-for-money, reliability, versatility and lasting residual value.
Presenting the award to Ciaran McMahon, Managing Director Designate of Ford Ireland, Tom Dennigan of Continental Tyres Ireland said: “The Ford Transit is a worthy winner of the Irish Van of the Year title, ideally suited to the needs of Ireland’s commercial vehicle operators. In the current resurgent commercial vehicle market, we are sure that the award will contribute in no small way to the ongoing success of the Transit.”
The Transit has been Ireland’s biggest selling van for over the last 20 years and follows the success of the Transit Customer which won International Van of the Year 2013 and the Transit Connect which won International Van of the Year 2014.
